Bringing Wheatstone to You
For ten years, Wheatstone Academy has offered unique and life-changing summer conferences to Christian high school students. Now, through Wheatstone Local Events, we're offering our distinctive conference elements to Christian communities across America all year round.
How do they work?
The faculty and staff of Wheatstone Academy will travel to your neighborhood for an evening, weekend, or week-long experience that includes any combination of Wheatstone's three essential elements: Scholarly Teaching, Small Group Discussions, Immersion in the Arts. This means you get the world-class teaching and experience of Wheatstone Academy at your own school or church campus, in a chapel, seminar, workshop, or retreat.
Who are they for?
In line with Wheatstone's mission to train up the next generation of Christian leaders, we are pleased to offer seminars not only for high school students, but for parents and youth workers as well.
The Wheatstone faculty are experts in philosophy of education and youth ministry, and are highly qualified to give insight into the unique challenges our culture brings to the classroom. They can help unify your faculty and staff around common language and concepts that describe a teaching model centered in a biblical worldview and successful at equipping students to flourish not only as students but as Christian leaders of culture and communities.
Parents of Christian Students
Wheatstone can help parents navigate the pre-college and college years with practical ideas for preparing students for the transition into college life. Since our faculty teach college students, they can shed light on the dynamics inside and outside the classroom that often create the biggest obstacles to faith, and prepare parents for the questions and needs their students may face in college.
Where can they be held?
Wheatstone Academy can provide a Local Event at a school campus, church campus, retreat center, or even a private home.
How much do they cost?
Cost varies according to the type and duration of the event, and according to the number in attendance. Wheatstone Academy is a non-profit ministry that depends on two sources of income: donations and program fees.
We are committed to bringing the Wheatstone experience to as many communities as possible, and are often able to subsidize the cost of a Local Event. Therefore, we ask that a hosting church or school give every consideration to what it can contribute to the cost of producing a Wheatstone event on their campus, whether it be a partial or total contribution. If the cost of the event is unreachable for the host, we will attempt to cover the remainder.
