Who is Wheatstone Academy for?
Wheatstone Academy is designed for Christian students, ages 16 to 19*, who exhibit a desire to learn and to lead. They welcome a challenge and want to grow in mind and heart. Wheatstone Academy is a community of learners, and we want students who will contribute and invest in that community.
Have a Voice
Here's the chance to speak your mind. Wheatstone Academy students spend most of their time at the conference in discussion. We don't have any experience without discussing it together, so students should be ready and willing to voice their honest questions and ideas, which are the fuel for good dialogue.
Be a Leader
Wheatstone Academy equips students to have an impact on their environment. Our mission is to help students be stewards of the gifts God has given them, in mind, heart and service to others. Rather than use their education and gifts for self-serving and temporary ends, our students are empowered to use their academic and vocational success for kingdom purposes, and to be on the forefront of cultural change in whatever place God leads them.
Get Out There
The Wheatstone Academy experience isn't limited to the classroom. We take students into the heart of culture, into urban centers of art and ideas, and all this in a dynamic community where students and teachers are authentically engaged. We want students who will create, not just consume culture.
*Students who are fifteen years old may apply to attend the conference. Younger students are admitted on the basis of their maturity and their commitment to apply themselves the conference.
